Hi Everyone......Welcome to the month of May!
I'm really excited about the projects this month and I know that even you parents
will enjoy creating some of them.  Don't be afraid to come on out with your kids.
They can always give you some help if you need it..
This month we are featuring an 'advanced' class which will take 2 evenings
to complete.    I am also doing a 2 part 'painting class' for those of you who
want to pick up the brush and 'let go'!
So, let's get going and see what we have in store.
Don't forget to register early for these classes.
Call me if there is a time or day conflict with your schedule.
And PLEASE PLEASE 'tell your friends about the classes" and get their
parents to give me a call.
Summer Art Camps
I will be sending out a 'special' newsletter outlining the days
and times of classes later this month.
Wednesday, May 11th......6 pm.......$8.00

Kids.....force your family to look at  your picture
every time they go to the refrigerator.
This
'magnetic' polymer clay frame will do the trick.

In this class you will learn how to use just 2 colours of
clay, some texturing tools,  PLUS some metallic
powder to create this unique picture frame.
Add a magnet.....and hang it up!
Thursday, May 12th.....6 pm......$12.00

It's the dreaded
'Black Film Canister Knight'
riding through the forest on his trusted 'steed'.
That's right....he's a 'recycled' villain.
Pop off his head and you can hide stuff in there.
Friday, May 13th.......6 pm......$15.00
Build your own Pond with Clay

Create this tranquil scene of bull rushes, flowers, rocks,
water, frog and lily pad. We might even throw in a turtle if
there is time.
Can you say..........'ribbit?'
Saturday, May 14th.......11 am - 1 pm.......$12.00
Create this great picture holder that says it ALL!

Trace your own hand onto polymer clay, bend the fingers to 'sign'
I LOVE YOU!
Decorate it with a big red heart.....texture it with all sorts of neat
things....add your own picture and give it to someone special.
Oh, by the way, the pixie in the picture is my very own
granddaughter 'Jaeden'.   Isn't she cute?  Come on now
everyone....say 'hi' to Jaeden!
HI JAEDEN!
Monday, May 16th.....6 pm......$12.00
Toad Crossing Sign

Yes, he's ugly and bumpy, but he's employed!
Just what every garden needs, because toads
need protection too.
Come on....give him a chance.  Protect your
toads.
But please remember.....NO kissing!
He's a 'TOAD'....not a 'frog'.  Toad..Toad....not
frog.  No prince will show up...trust me.

Toad
Off Duty
Tuesday, May 17th......6 pm.....$15.00

Your choice of either Votive Candle Holder.
Choose either the 'Funky Polka Dot' holder OR the
ever popular 'Tulip Votive'.
Both look great with a 'tealite' inside.
Wednesday, May 18th & Thurs. May 19th

6 pm both nights......$20.00 for 2 part class.
'Advanced Class'
This class will help you with your 'sculpting' skills.  Donkey needs
to be built up in layers.  Not for the young artists.
If you are really serious about your clay work, this is the class for
YOU!
Next month we are going to tackle 'Puss in Boots'!
Monday, May 23rd AND Tues. May 24th
Farm Landscape Painting
6 pm......$25.00
Registration must be made by May 18th to enable me to
have all of the necessary materials ready.

Come out and paint a similar landscape painting, step by
step.   Practice on day 1 and then tackle the whole thing
on day 2.
Here's your chance to shine.
Wednesday, May 25th.....6 pm........$12.00
Magnetic Clownfish Aquarium Jar

This should be a 'fun' project for everyone.  You create an underwater
scene with clay and paint.  But not just an 'ordinary' scene.  No
no.....it's a 'magnetic' scene, complete with a 'magnetic' clownfish
(similar to 'what's his name')
that actually swims around the jar.  Ooooooooh!   Ahhhhhhhhhhh!
Only one requirement to sign up for this class.
You have to
'bring your own JAM JAR'. (Washed and without the label please.)
Tuesday, May 31st......6 pm.......$15.00
Pen and Holder Set

This would make a super 'teacher gift' for the end of the year.
The ink cartridge can be replaced over and over.
Not for the younger set.    Very sharp blades involved.
Learn how to make a flower design in clay.   Apply very thin slices to the
outside of the pen, bake it and sand it to a glossy finish.
Come on out all of you 'PARENTS'.  You CAN do it!
If this night is not suitable, but you would really like to give it a try....
call me to set a date in June.
